Quantify Assay Precision Using Heatmaps, Bland-Altman Plots, and %CV Metrics

This analysis measures assay reproducibility by comparing control samples within and across batches, reporting intra-run and inter-run CV% and flagging each result as stable, moderate, or variable. Heatmaps and Bland-Altman plots aggregated and per-donor spread directly on the dashboard, so you can trust that reported immune changes are real signal rather than run-to-run noise.

What's New?

Custom built flow cytometry assays face two big challenges: proving that markers can be detected reliably, and showing that results are reproducible from run to run.

After building a cytometry assay with Teiko, it is important to understand how it performs on biological samples within and across runs. The new Assay Precision tab shows how reproducible immune measurements are across control samples run in the same batch and in separate batches, so you know your assay's inter- and intra-run spread with confidence.

What Changed?

In Assay Precision analyses, control samples are compared across runs to measure assay "noise," or the run-to-run variability introduced by the assay itself. For each control sample, Assay Precision calculates intra-run CV% (coefficient of variation, a measure of spread relative to the mean) for samples run in the same batch, and inter-run CV% for samples run in separate batches. Each result is labeled stable, moderate, or variable.

Two views are available directly on the dashboard to assess precision. Heatmaps provide an overview of aggregated CV% across populations and markers, and Bland-Altman plots show a more in depth analysis of per-donor CV%.

Why It Matters

Assay Precision measures your assay's run-to-run reproducibility. With it in hand, you can trust that reported immune changes in clinical samples are more than noise and focus on measurements that are truly moving. Having results live on the dashboard provides more insight into your assay and allows for customized analysis.
