Teiko, a global CLIA-certified immune monitoring lab, today announced that Stingray Therapeutics has selected Teiko to provide mass cytometry-based multi-parameter immuneprofiling services in support of the clinical development of its leading novel innate immunecheckpoint inhibitor Vizenpistat (SR-8541A, ENPP1 inhibitor) targeting therapeutic program.
Under the collaboration, Teiko will process and analyze cryopreserved peripheral bloodmononuclear cell (PBMC) samples from patients enrolled in Stingray's ongoing clinicaltrial using its TokuFocus cytometry assay. All samples are acquired on Teiko'sCLIA-validated 41-marker mass cytometry panel, and Stingray will initially receive focusedT, B, NK, and myeloid (TBNKM) population results.
TokuFocus lowers the upfront cost of cytometry profiling while providing the key cell populationsneeded to monitor for early clinical responses. If interim results identify patients or cohorts thatwarrant deeper investigation, Stingray can unlock analysis of 840+ immune subsets from thosesame samples, paying only for what they need.
Results are delivered through Teiko's TokuProfile Dashboard, an AI-integrated platform thatdelivers analyzed cytometry data with cohort and endpoint comparisons, built-in statistics, andvisualization tools, making it easy to interpret and share results.
ENPP1 is the only known checkpoint in innate immunity and a negative regulator of thecGAS-STING pathway. High levels of ENPP1 have been correlated with reduced immuneinfiltration, increased metastasis, and tumor resistance to both chemotherapy and adaptiveimmunotherapies. Teiko's immune profiling will allow Stingray to characterize the peripheralblood immune landscape in patients receiving treatment, helping to evaluate dose-response,better understand the therapy's mechanism of action, and identify immune cell populations thatmay be associated with clinical outcomes or patient response.
