Teiko, a global CLIA-certified immune monitoring lab, today announced that Stingray Therapeutics has selected Teiko to provide mass cytometry-based multi-parameter immune profiling services in support of the clinical development of its leading novel innate immune checkpoint inhibitor Vizenpistat (SR-8541A, ENPP1 inhibitor).
Under the collaboration, Teiko will process and analyze cryopreserved peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) samples from patients enrolled in Stingray's ongoing clinical trial using its TokuFocus cytometry assay. All samples are acquired on Teiko's CLIA-validated 41-marker mass cytometry panel, and Stingray will initially receive focused T, B, NK, and myeloid (TBNKM) population results.
TokuFocus lowers the upfront cost of cytometry profiling while providing the key cell populations needed to monitor for early clinical responses. If interim results identify patients or cohorts that warrant deeper investigation, Stingray can unlock analysis of 840+ immune subsets from those same samples, paying only for what they need.
Results are delivered through Teiko's TokuProfile Dashboard, an AI-integrated platform that delivers analyzed cytometry data with cohort and endpoint comparisons, built-in statistics, and visualization tools, making it easy to interpret and share results.
ENPP1 is the only known checkpoint in innate immunity and a negative regulator of the cGAS-STING pathway. High levels of ENPP1 have been correlated with reduced immune infiltration, increased metastasis, and tumor resistance to both chemotherapy and adaptive immunotherapies. Teiko's immune profiling will allow Stingray to characterize the peripheral blood immune landscape in patients receiving treatment, helping to evaluate dose-response, better understand the therapy's mechanism of action, and identify immune cell populations that may be associated with clinical outcomes or patient response.
